Stitch Patterns:
Seed Stitch (SS)
Row 1: *K1, P1* rep. from* to* to the end of row
Row 2: *P1, K1* rep. from *to* to the end of row

Cable Pattern
C6B
Slip the next 3 sts onto a cable needle as if to purl and hold them behind your work.
Knit the next 3 sts on the left needle. Now, knit the 3 sts from the cable needle onto your right needle, being sure that the first st you knit is the first one you slipped onto the cable needle.

Scarf Pattern:
Using a chunky alpaca (2.5 to 3 sts per inch) and US#11 needles CO 32 St.
Row 1: 11 in SS (seed stitch), P2, K6, P2, 11 in SS
Row 2: 11 in SS, K2, P6, K2, 11 in SS
Row 3: 11 in SS, P2, C6B, P2, 11 in SS
Row 4: 11 in SS, K2, P6, K2, 11 in SS
Row 5: 11 in SS, P2. K6, P2, 11 in SS
Row 6: 11 in SS, K2, P6, K2, 11 in SS
Repeat Row 1-6 until desired length (about 60 inches).

Useful Tip!
For the seed stitch pattern, casting on an odd number of stitches will allow you to start each row with a knit stitch.
